Kiruna Mining appointed Hans Nilsson to new CEO

Kiruna Mining has appointed a new CEO. Hans Nilsson takes up his post on April 1, announces Critical Metals, which is Kiruna Mining's parent company, in a press release.

For more than 25 years, Nilsson has held various management positions within iron ore companies such as LKAB, Minelco, Northland Resources, Ferrexpo and Kaunis Iron.

Nilsson was former CEO and CEO of a bioenergy company based in Vancouver, Canada. He has the extensive international experience of having lived and worked in the Far East, North America and Western Europe, emphasized the press release.

Kiruna Iron’s vision is to become a globally significant supplier of premium quality industrial minerals to the steel industry, and other industries that rely on high-grade minerals for their value creation. The Company’s strategy is to develop its Swedish iron ore portfolio whilst actively seeking opportunities to acquire high-quality advanced projects. Kiruna Iron plans to list its securities on a Nordic securities exchange in the short-medium term.
