Botswana Diamonds has completed the acquisition of Sekaka Diamonds, the exploration vehicle of Petra Diamonds which holds three prospecting licenses in Botswana.

“Sekaka owns: the high grade KX36 kimberlite pipe; a fit-for-purpose kimberlite processing plant; an extensive diamond exploration data-base,” Botswana Diamonds said in a statement.

John Teeling, the chairman of Botswana Diamonds, said the deal

“paves the way to explore commercial development options … and begin to evaluate the extensive database in conjunction with ours to discover more kimberlites in prime diamond real estate”.

Botswana Diamonds says it is a diamond exploration and project de-velopment company which holds exploration licences in Botswana and the Republic of South Africa.
