Canadian miner Victoria Gold Corp. has reported im-proved results for the first quarter of 2021, with some 26,759 oz of gold mined, a solid increase compared with about 10,544 oz of gold mined in the first three months of 2020.

During the three months of this year, the miner sold 27,538 oz of gold, compared with 10,179 gold oz sold in the same quarter in 2020, Victoria Gold Corp. said in a statement.

Mr. John McConnell, the president and chief executive of Victoria Gold Corp, said that “with seasonal ore placement on the heap leach pad, ore stacking and gold production grows quarter over quarter throughout the year. Increased ore stacking and gold production are accompanied by falling unit costs which result in higher margins and free-cash flow as the year progresses.”
