London-listed Thor Mining Plc has presented an explo-ration update on the lithium prospectivity at the firm’s Ragged Range pro-ject in Eastern Pilbara, in Western Australia.
“Several lithium exploration targets have been identified at Thor's Ragged Range Project. The Pilbara Craton is highly prospective for lithium-cae-sium-tantalum (LCT) enriched pegmatites and hosts two 'World Class' de-posits at Wodgina and Pilgangoora that formed close to the Split Rock Supersuite (2.85 to 2.83Ma),” the company said in a statement.
Nicole Galloway Warland, the managing director of Thor Mining, com-mented that the miner’s “recent geological review of the Ragged Range project, triggered by the granting of E46/1393, has identified exciting lith-ium-caesium-tantalum targets associated with the highly prospective Split Rock Supersuite. These new targets will be advanced as soon as possi-ble and have the potential for significant exploration discoveries, while we continue drill testing further gold exploration targets at the Sterling Pro-spect.”
