London-based miner Ariana Resources has un-veiled its mineral resource estimate for the Kiziltepe gold and silver mine in south-eastern Turkey has been increased to more than 380,000 oz of gold and 6.1 million oz of silver contained metal.

This represents a 19 percent increase compared with the previous estimate that Ariana Resources released in April 2020, the miner said in a statement.

Kerim Sener, the company’s managing director, was quoted in the statement as saying that the latest updated resource estimate "is an excellent result and represents the culmination of a full year of work at Kiziltepe, involving over 15,000m of drilling and other detailed tech-nical studies by the Zenit and Ariana teams. This work highlights the resource upside remaining at Kiziltepe, as operations proceed suc-cessfully into their sixth year."
