Australian miner Resolute Mining has unveiled an updated life of mine (LOM) plan for the company’s Syama gold mine in Mali and the Mako gold mine in Senegal.
The update reflects an average annual production of 370,000 oz over the 2022 to 2026 period at an average all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of US$1,191 per oz.
“Our latest LOM plan reflect an improved production profile over the cur-rent 12-year mine life at Syama incorporating the successful exploration campaigns which have extended oxide production for an additional two years together with exceptional drilling results at Tabakoroni,” said Stuart Gale, the chief executive of Resolute Mining, as quoted in a statement.
“This allows us to defer the development of the Tabakoroni Sulphide mine as we continue to assess and optimise the plan for the development of this resource,” he said.
