Miner to launch drilling at Canadian gold-copper project

Project advances Vancouver-based Ximen Mining has unveiled plans to start drilling at the company’s Bud-Elk property in the Green-wood Mining camp in west of the city of Greenwood, in Canada’s Brit-ish Columbia.

The miner’s 2022 exploration programme of trenching and drilling is expected “to test targets for disseminated gold-copper mineralization. The company is permitted to drill a total of 24 drill sites of which 10 are approved for this year. As multiple holes can be drilled from each of the sites, the current permits allow for a total of 40 holes or up to approximately 10,000 metres this year. Drilling is planned to start af-ter the annual survey of species and ecosystems at risk is completed in April,” Ximen Mining said in a statement.

After purchasing the property, Ximen Mining carried out rock sam-pling in 2020, and soil geochemistry and airborne geophysics a year later, the company said.
