Euro Mine Expo 2024, held May 28-30 in the Swedish town of Skellefteå, will feature technology and methods at the absolute forefront of development. It also features two fully booked exhibitor halls and a conference program that will include cutting-edge innovation projects in the mining industry.
“The eyes of the world are focused on the expertise that will be gathered at Euro Mine Expo 2024,” says Sinnika Sjunnesson, project manager for one of Europe’s most important meeting places for the mining industry.
The tickets are now open for Euro Mine Expo held in Skellefteå, at the epicenter of over $100 billion in investments in the far north of Sweden. Euro Mine Expo is a vital meeting ground for industry leaders, decision-makers, and influencers with around 200 exhibitors and more than 2000 visitors attending one of Europe's premier trade fairs and conferences for the mining industry.
"We are very pleased with the level of commitment the industry has shown in developing the conference program that will address many of the most exciting projects and innovations. Collaboration is one of the key factors in building a strong meeting place for the mining industry and its suppliers. We are fortunate to have strong, engaged, and active sponsors, such as our gold and silver sponsors: LKAB, Boliden, Metso, Zinkgruvan mining, Sandvik, Skellefteå and Hydac," says Sinnika Sjunnesson.
At the forefront of innovation
The last Expo drew delegates from over 40 countries, and this year's edition aims for even more extensive and diverse international participation, thanks to easier and revamped ticketing options for both the conference and exhibition.
Euro Mine Expo also features a better trade fair with many of the most important and prominent companies in the mining industry exhibiting. This, combined with a conference with space for significantly more attendees with even better content than in previous years, is some of the reasons Euro Mine Expo has received more and more attention.
“Numerous Swedish companies stand at the forefront of innovation and methods within the mining industry. We firmly believe that the combination of a trade fair boasting over 200 exhibitors alongside a high-level conference constitutes a recipe for success,” says Sinnika Sjunnesson.
Interesting tech talks
This year’s conference program at Euro Mine Expo will include techtalks about safety and security, both personal and structural safety, as well as cybersecurity. It will also include talks on Sweden as Europe’s #1 mining country – the role of research and innovation, and challenges in the immediate future.
There will also, among many other subjects, tech talks about e-waste, autonomous hauling implementation, industrialization of hydrogen-based direct reduction process, experiences of the world´s first battery-powered scaling machine after one year of production, and the use of drones when constructing a dam.
“The final conference program will be revealed in March. We are working closely with our gold and silver sponsors on shaping the conference content to best attract many attendees,” says Sinnika Sjunnesson, project manager for Euro Mine Expo.
