Kingsgate announces first gold pour at its Chatree gold mine

The Chatree Gold Mine is a world class gold producing asset, with a proven operating history, with 1.8 million ounces of gold and 10 million ounces of silver produced between 2001–2016.

Australian Kingsgate Consolidated announces that the first gold pour has occurred at the newly refurbished Plant #1 at Chatree Gold Mine.

As part of the ongoing Plant #1 commissioning process the first four doré bars were poured recently with the elution circuit and refurbished gold room all performing well. Kingsgate remains focused on increasing throughput as part of completing the Plant #1 commissioning phases as soon as possible.

Kingsgate’s Managing Director and CEO, Jamie Gibson said, “We are delighted to acknowledge this important milestone, as we continue to ramp up operations at Chatree with gold and silver now being produced through two processing plants.”

Located in central Thailand, around 280km north of Bangkok, Chatree Gold Mine is wholly owned by Kingsgate through its Thai unit, Akara Resources.

Chatree is a large scale, low-cost, open pit operation with a combined +5 Mtpa processing capacity across two plants, with existing Life of Mine supporting a ~9 year mine life based on 1.3m oz gold reserve.
