Mexico-focused miner Mineral Alamos has obtained a permission from the Mexican environmental authorities to develop its La Fortuna open-pit gold-silver-copper project in Durango.

The preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for the project forecasts an average production of 43,000 oz of gold, 220,000 oz of silver, and 1,000 tonnes of copper per year, the company said in a statement.

In addition to the La Fortuna project, the company says its key assets include the Guadalupe de Los Reyes open pit gold-silver project in Sinaloa, also located in Mexico.
