Canada’s miner Roxgold has announced the completion of the acquisition of the Séguéla gold project in Côte d'Ivoire from Newcrest West Africa Holdings Pty Ltd.
The asset is part of a portfolio of 11 exploration permits in Côte d’Ivoire, purchased for a "total upfront consideration of US$20 million," Roxgold said in a statement.
"This acquisition will materially increase Roxgold's overall resource inventory, with work already underway to bring the deposit up to National Instrument 43-101 standards," said Paul Weedon, the company’s vice president for exploration.
Roxgold says it is a gold mining company with assets located in West Africa.
