Miner to expand Japanese gold project

Japan Gold Corp. has obtained the approval of the Japanese Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry to expand its Ikutahara gold project in nothern Hokkaido, Japan.

 

"The four new accepted applications, totalling 1,399 hectares, extend the northern boundary of the Ikutahara Project proximal to historic workings at the Toge Hill, Asada Ridge, and Akebono prospects," the miner said in a statement.

 

Japan Gold Corp. says it is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on gold and copper-gold exploration across the three largest islands of Japan: Hokkaido, Honshu and Kyushu.

 

The company has a portfolio of 12 gold projects, and five lithocap projects which could indicate the presence of porphyry mineralization, according to data from Japan Gold Corp.
