An increasing number of companies are demonstrat-ing interest in uranium exploration and mining project in the north-eastern part of South Australia. Investors are flocking to the region amid specula-tion that U.S. President Joe Biden has incorporated nuclear energy in his clean energy programme.
As part of the trend, Perth-based Boss Energy says it is holding talks with international lenders to obtain funds that will allow it to become Australia’s next uranium producer. The funds are to allow the business to resume operations at the Honeymoon mine in South Australia, according to the information obtained by local news site The Lead South Australia.
Boss Energy has informed the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) that re-launching the Honeymoon project would require about US$62 million in capital expenditure. Honeymoon is one of the four permitted uranium mines located in Australia.
