Canada’s Giga Metals Corp. has unveiled the launch of the 2021 work programme on the Turnagain nickel-cobalt project in north-central British Columbia. As part of these efforts, archaeo-logical and wildlife surveys are underway and resource drilling has begun, the company said in a statement.
“This work program is designed to collect all necessary exploration, geotechnical and other data to advance project engineering to the Pre-Feasibility level,” said Mark Jarvis, the chief executive of Giga Metals Corp.
“Our goal is to produce a Pre-Feasibility study in Q3 of 2022,” accord-ing to Jarvis.
Giga Metals says it is focused on obtaining metals that are critical to modern batteries. The Turnagain project is the company’s main as-set, but the Canadian business says it is also exploring for sediment hosted copper deposits in Brazil.
