Canadian miner launches drilling at gold project

Investment advances MegumaGold Corp. has unveiled that drilling was commenced at the company’s Caribou gold project, located in the

 

“Maritime Diamond Drilling Ltd. of Brookfield, Nova Scotia has mobilized their EF-50 rig to the property last week to begin a minimum 600m multi-hole drilling program,” the miner said in a statement.

 

The project comprises 16 contiguous mining claims located some 80 km northeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and it “is approximately 12 kilometers on existing roads from St Barbara Minerals Moose River Consolidated operating mill. country’s Nova Scotia province,” the miner said in a state-ment.

 

Theo van der Linde, the president of MegumaGold Corp., commented that his company is “excited to finally be able to drill on Caribou and be able to see first-hand what made this property a mine in the past.”

 

Nova Scotia’s government records for the Caribou gold district show the area produced more than 100,000 oz of gold from 1869 to 1955.
