Canada’s Condor Gold has announced it will start the final mine design process for its La India open pit gold project in Nicara-gua next month, with a feasibility study expected to be published in the first quarter of 2022.
“A surface water hydrological model has been 100% completed, which feeds into the Site Wide Water Balance, with the supporting documenta-tion due by the end of October. Detailed water management structure de-signs are underway,” the miner said in a statement.
Condor Gold says that all “assays from the infill drilling program have been received. Updates to the geological framework inclusive of the lith-ological, structural and weathering model are approximately 80% com-plete. Once completed the Mineral Resource estimate update for La India will commence.”
The miner says that La India has a combined inferred and indicated min-eral resource of some 18.1 million tonnes at 4.0 g/t for 2.32 million oz of gold, and a probable open pit mineral reserve of 6.9 million tonnes at 3.0 g/t for 675,000 oz of gold.
