Canada’s NorthWest Copper has announced that drilling at the company’s Kwanika property, located within British Columbia’s Quesnel Terrane which hosts porphyry copper-gold de-posits, has encountered robust copper-gold grades in holes designed to increase the footprint of mineralisation at the Kwanika Central and Kwanika South Zones.
“These are the first results from 2021 Kwanika drilling that are outside of the Central Zone footprint,” the Vancouver-based business said in a statement.
“These results provide additional targets and, importantly, expansion potential at Kwanika,” said Peter Bell, the president and CEO of NorthWest Copper.
“The southern holes highlight the opportunity around the South Zone, which is much less drilled than Kwanika Central Zone. The drilling by the team continues to deliver high grades on multiple targets, con-sistent with our high-grade corporate focus. The northern hole shows the undrilled potential north of the Kwanika Central Zone,” he said.
