Africa-focused miner Atlantic Lithium has an-nounced that chief financial officer and company secretary Amanda Harsas was appointed to the board to serve as the miner’s new fi-nance director with immediate effect.

Atlantic Lithium’s chairperson Neil Herbert said in a statement that, since “her appointment in 2020, Amanda has performed exception-ally and we are very pleased that she is joining the Board at this im-portant time as we take our fully funded Ghanaian lithium project through the steps towards production.”

Atlantic Lithium says it is on track to become West Africa's first lithium producer.

The miner’s “flagship project, the Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana, is set to be West Africa’s first lithium producing mine and is fully funded to production under an agreement with Piedmont Lithium for $102m. A robust Scoping Study indicates Life of Mine revenues ex-ceeding US$1.5bn,” according to Atlantic Lithium.
