Canada’s Stratabound Minerals Corp. has communicated that exploration work was recently initiated at the company’s Fremont gold project located in the Mother Lode Gold Belt of central California, in the U.S.

“Preliminary mine development plans are also underway including baseline environmental and engineering studies,” the Toronto-based company said in a statement.

The first phase of the foreseen exploration work in California includes excavating some 10 surface trenches at intervals of 50 metres inter-vals across 500 metres of strike overlying the Queen Specimen Zone, according to data from Stratabound Minerals Corp.

“The Queen Specimen Zone is the northern-most of four separately drilled gold-mineralized zones that are connected across 4 kilometres of strike on surface by a >30 ppb gold-in-soil anomaly,” the Canadian business said.
