Vancouver-based Universal Copper has announced the follow-up programme to the company’s autumn 2021 drilling programme was recently initiated at its flagship Poplar copper close to Houston, British Columbia.

The miner plans about 2,000 metres in four holes with the aim to ex-pand the 21-PC-135 mineralization and confirm its northeast plunge, Universal Copper said in a statement.

“We have been eagerly waiting to start drilling again at Poplar since the conclusion of the 2021 fall program was completed in early No-vember,” said Clive Massey, the CEO and president of Universal Copper, “with the exceptional drill results released in January and March heightening the anticipation. We will be following up on the 21-PC-135 intersection where recent re-interpretation of the historic drill-ing suggests mineralization plunges to the northeast.”
