Major investment completed Polish cardboard packaging maker Grupa Akomex has finalised the project to expand its production facility in Aleksandrów Kujawski, Poland. The investment is part of a project worth more than PLN 40 million (US$9 million) to boost the company’s output capacities.
“In the opinion of the company’s management board, owing to the new investments, Grupa Akomex can count on raising its production capacities by between 30% and 40% this year,” the Polish business said in a statement.
The expansion project in Aleksandrów Kujawski was worth about PLN 4.5 million (US$1 million), according to the statement. The investment was carried out in the Pomorska special economic zone (PSSE) owing to which Grupa Akomex will be able to benefit from preferential tax treatment in the coming years.
The new production hall will supply cardboard packaging to customers from the pharmaceutical industry both in the domestic market and in other European countries, according to Grupa Akomex.
