Polish coal miner to invest $4M this year

Investment strategy Polish coal miner JSW S.A. has unveiled plans to invest some PLN 14 million ($4 million) with the aim to increase its mining capacities and purchase new equipment this year.

 

The latest announcement comes as the company managed to raise its coal production in the second quarter of 2017. From April to June, JSW reported a total output of 3.78 million tonnes of coal, up 11% compared with the same period a year earlier, according to data from the state-owned firm.

 

Deliveries of the new equipment are scheduled for early 2018.
