Australia’s Capricorn copper mine is expected to start production in November, private equity fund EMR Capital confirmed recently.

A joint venture between EMR and Lighthouse Minerals, Capricorn Copper, is expected to produce 25,000 to 35,000 tonnes of copper concentrate a year.

Lighthouse and EMR acquired the mine in October 2015 from Aditya Birla, which suspended the project  in 2013 due to falling copper prices.
