Bulgarian paper packaging maker raises sales

Bulgarian paper packaging maker Yuri Gagarin Plc has reported increased sales for 2017, at BGN 140.1 million ($88 million), an increase of 14% compared with a year earlier.

Last year, the company also sold one of its warehouse facilities for BGN 7.9 million, as reported by local news site Seenews.com.

Yuri Gagarin specialises in making multi-colour printed packaging and labels from cardboard and paper. The company supplies its output to a number of industries. These include the food, cosmetic, and tobacco sectors.

Set up in 1964, the company has been listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) since 1998.
