Ameriwest Lithium Inc. has announced it was re-cently awarded seven exploration permits by the Arizona State Land Department. This will enable the miner to explore for prospective lith-ium-bearing clays in west-central Arizona. The property totals close to 1,157 hectares in the Yavapai county.
David Watkinson, the pesident and CEO of Ameriwest, said that the latest development marks the fourth in a series of lithium exploration properties the company recently staked in the U.S.
“This deposit represents prospective lithium sedimentary mineraliza-tion with surface or near-surface exposure of lithium-bearing clays, with historic grades reported as comparable to those found in similar sedimentary deposits found in Clayton Valley,” Watkinson said, as quoted in a statement.
Ameriwest Lithium says it is a Canada-based exploration company focused on exploring Nevada’s Deer Musk East property.
