Swedish mining and infrastructure equipment maker Epiroc has completed its acquisition of JTMEC, an Australian com-pany specialised in supplying electrical infrastructure to mines.
In a statement, Epiroc said that JTMEC’s activities have a key role in “supporting the industry’s transition to battery electrification,” supply-ing electrification infrastructure solutions to both underground and surface mines.
“The company’s offerings include high voltage installation and maintenance work, transformer servicing and testing, engineering de-sign, feasibility studies, and training. It also manufactures electrical products including substations and mine chargers,” according to the statement.
JTMEC is based in Perth, Australia, and has a workforce of some 190 employees. The company says it sells its turn-key electrical services and products across the Asia-Pacific Region. Some of JTMEC's cus-tomers include Aeris, Aueralia, BHP, Bluestone, Fortescue, Ghella, and other industry players.
