European Cobalt receive Swedish permission to look for rare minerals

An Australian company, European Kobalt, may start exploring an area in Sweden, south of Unden, where many natural values ​​are gathered. Cobalt is the mineral which is primarily interesting in this project.

The decision of the municipality of Karlsborg and other interested parties was taken on 17 October. This means that the mining authority Bergsstaten gave the applicant the exclusive right to investigate the presence of nickel, cobalt, zinc, copper and gold. The license is valid for three years and covers an area of ​​868 hectares which includes Havsmon, Igelstad and Fräckestad.
Application from the company Western Mining Network Ltd. entered the Bergsstaten on May 11th. That same month, the mining company changed its name to European Cobalt Ltd.
It is registered in Australia and active on the European market, including in a survey project in Slovakia. Mainly searching for cobalt, a rare concession mineral found in lithium batteries of electric cars. Cobalt often occurs near copper and nickel sources.
