Vancouver-based Arizona Silver Exploration has announced it recently completed the first two core holes at the company’s Philadelphia gold-silver project in Mohave County, in the U.S. state of Arizona. Drilling began last month, and the first hole is currently in the laboratory with the second hole to be submitted later this week, the miner said in a statement.
Greg Hahn, the vice president for exploration at Arizona Silver Explo-ration, said in a statement that, from “a visual perspective the new drilling is proceeding as anticipated. Intercepts are close to modelled depths and quartz vein breccia thicknesses remain strong.”
“The presence of visible gold in core in the hanging wall vein is en-couraging but must be regarded with caution as to grade. That said, the model of the gold system in the 'boiling zone' is holding up and as such I expect the zone will continue deeper,” he said.
The miner says it is focused on exploring gold-silver properties in Arizona’s western part and Nevada.
