Australia’s Longreach Mineral Exploration (LME) has announced it completed a 387 sq. km airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey over its permit 40 km north-east of Clermont, in the country’s state of Queensland.

“The outcome of this work will enable specific and effective targeting for focused geochemical sampling and future drilling,” the company said in a statement.

Jan Ostby, the director of Longreach, commented that the “new airborne geophysical data set will add significantly to the understanding of the mineralisation model, generate specific exploration targets, reduce risk in ongoing exploration and accelerate the on-ground exploration.”

Focused on copper and gold exploration, LME is an offshoot of Longreach Capital Investment, and it holds tenements and applications for mineral exploration permits in the country’s states of New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, and Western Australia, according to data from the business.
